Rally Hail Idea

The idea of the rally belongs to the former Emir of Hail Region, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz, who planned the idea and sought to transform the rally from a dream into reality in 2006. The first edition of the Hail Rally was launched in February 2006, and is considered the first rally to be organized in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This edition established new traditions in rally sports in the Kingdom, attracting the interest of participants from different countries around the world.

The rally continued its success and distinction in a journey that extended for about 19 rounds, until it became part of the calendar of world rally championships after the officials of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) became part of its global calendar and the first to launch the World Cup Rally Championship, which contributed to the status of Hail sports as a distinctive destination in the world of motorsports.
