Today, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Hail Region, Chairman of the Authority’s Council, inaugurated the “Our Environment, Our Future” volunteer initiative in its third edition, which is organized by the Association for Voluntary Work and Community Service in Hail “Jood”
The initiative aims to increase awareness of the concept of maintaining environmental cleanliness and caring for and developing the vegetation in the Hail region, through various programs and events that include cleaning valleys and parks, planting wild sites, holding awareness workshops, and providing educational programs for volunteers
His Highness toured the Hail Nature Environment Exhibition, the exhibition of participating volunteer teams, and the pavilions of government sectors, and listened to a detailed explanation of the initiative’s goals and programs
His Highness the Emir of the Hail Region also honored the Hail Region Development Authority for its efforts to protect and preserve the environment, through its programs and initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life in the region
His Highness stressed the importance of volunteer work in community service, praising the role of volunteers in the success of the “Our Environment, Our Future” initiative
His Highness said: “Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility, and we trust the awareness of community members and their awareness of the importance of preserving our environment, and we thank everyone who contributes to these blessed efforts”
His Highness added: “The Hail Region Development Authority is making great efforts in the field of environmental protection, and we value these efforts and encourage their continuation and development.”
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Jood” Association, Issa Al-Halyan, explained that the initiative aims to spread the culture of environmental volunteerism among members of society, and enhance their role in protecting and preserving the environment
Al-Halyan stated that the initiative is witnessing broad participation from various segments of society, including volunteers, students, schools, and government and private agencies
He pointed out that the initiative contributed to the completion of many environmental works, such as cleaning valleys and parks, planting wild sites, and holding awareness workshops
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the “Jood” Association presented a memorial gift to His Highness the Emir of the Hail region in appreciation of his interest and support for the initiative.
